Sista Sekunden

The year is 2006 and I have been listening to the Sista Sekunden demo alot, since it had such a raw and umcompromising energy and lyrics that took it all back to a time when it was for real. When the debut album finally dropped, the sound was a little more polished but still very good. Me and some friends took a car to go to Malmöfestivalen to see Pennywise, and of course also Sista Sekunden and the newly reunited Mob 47. Not many people showed up to see Sista Sekunden, but we were all upfront and I thought they put on a great show even if it's nothing compared to what they do these days. Anyhow, I picked up these two t-shirts together with a CD-copy (Yeah, the vinyl didn't come until like a year later.) of the album. These were the only shirts they had, and I guess it's the first layout they ever did. Nowadays they have more shirts than any other band, so go check their MySpace and grab some!

Old school looking print on the front. Clean and pretty cool.

Close-up!

Well, same as above, but different color. Duh.

Again. Different color for special occasions.

Epileptic Terror Attack (E.T.A.)

E.T.A. also known as Epileptic Terror Attack was a band that was around only for a couple of years. They hailed from Umeå and in that small window of time they released alot of classic songs that still are worthy to spin a few times on my turnttable. I wish I could say I bought this t-shirt at an E.T.A. show, but I actually just bought it off a friend. So no funny story here. Well, I could tell you that some of the guys in E.T.A. were from the classic band D.S.-13 and when E.T.A. disbanded some went on to form Regulations. No harm done, right?

A clean cut logo on the front.

Classic hardcore style print on the back.

Randy

This t-shirt is definitely singing on its last verse. I used this one so much it has small holes everywhere and a big one under the right armpit. I bought it when Randy played in Halmstad back in 1998 when they had just released the album You Can't Keep A Good Band Down. I remember I also picked up the sweet picture 7" with one of the best Randy songs ever recorded: Out of Nothing Comes Nothing. Great show, great album, great t-shirt and great memories! Even though I really can't remember who else played this show, hehe.

I guess this one will soon see what the inside of a dumpster looks like.

Working Class Radio was the last track on the You Can't Keep A Good Band Down-album. Great song!

Outlast

At one time or another I think all the people who were active in the hardcore scene in Sweden during the 90's had to own at least one Outlast shirt. Outlast was one of those bands that everybody was into and their records and ep:s still stand strong even though it's more than a decade since they were recorded. Don't remember when I bought this, and all I can say is that I was much thinner when I did because it's pretty tight on me nowadays, hehe.

A modern classic!

Can you dig it?

Thug Murder

I remember I had never heard of Thug Murder before seeing them at the Hultsfred festival in 2000(?) and they completely blew me away. The raw energy combined with the great attitude of the tiny band members was a perfect mix in the swedish june sunlight. I picked this t-shirt up and a CD before running away to catch another live act, which I think was Suicidal Tendencies. At least they played the festival the same year.

Classic white on black print.

Earth Crisis

Another classic piece of hardcore merch is this official Earth Crisis wind breaker. I picked it up at a show in Halmstad in the late 90's when Earth Crisis were touring with Turmoil. I remember Turmoil really were at their best and I bought their latest album and a t-shirt, but unfortunetaley I wore that shirt so much that it is no more. I think I still have the actual print somewhere though. Probably it's lying somewhere in my box witch patches. The local Halmstad outfit Burnscape also played this night and it was a great show all in all because we were quite a few kids who had travelled together to see these american giants give us their best.

A small classy print to the left on the front of the jacket.

Old school knife through the globe.

Earth Crisis - Straight Edge printed on the back.

Bloodpath

Let's start this whole thing off with a rare little gem. This is an official Bloodpath t-shirt and I bought it at their show in Gislaved back in 1997. They toured the country together with label mates Saidiwas, but sadly they were very shortlived. Bloodpath released a demo and a split 7" with Forced Into before laying the band to rest. They also had a track called Song for Steve on the Desperate Fight compilation SXE As Fuck III (1997).

The shirt only has a small print of the band logo on the front and the words "Classpride Ålidhem" written under it.
